The Sussex is white, large bird with black flecks around the neck and on the tail.
Lays around 240 to 260 medium sized eggs per year.
A very alert and docile hen which can be easily tamed & adapt to new surroundings making the Sussex a great variety for a family.
Sussex hens are more prone to go broody unlike the leghorn variety.
